As per the Tollywood filmnagar resources, Megastar Ciranjeevi’s upcoming movie Viswambhara is planning to get released during Sankranti 2025. The producers are already in talks with the movie distribution franchisees regarding this.
Megastar Chiranjeevi scored a blockbuster last year with his Waltair Veerayya during last Sankranti season. Inspite of competition from Bala Krishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Thalapathi Vijay’s Vaarasudu, Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya resounded at the box office.
Although there is surely a strong competition at the Tollywood box office next year, Viswambhara producers are eyeing these dates only. They are coming up with the logic that during Sankranthi, Telugu audience are comfortable in watching 4 movies also during Sankranti, but if those movies get a hit talk.
Previously we have seen only few times that more than 3 movies get a hit talk at the Tollywood box office. Once Khaidi Number 150 raked in more collections than his Sankranti counterparts Gautamiputra Satakarni and Sathaman Bhavathi. These three movies were superhits during that time. The three movies were from three different genres.
And even last year, Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya has completely gained upper hand among the 3 super hits during last Sankranti. Inspite of less theaters, Waltair Veerayya completely dominated the Tollywood box office. While Waltair Veerayya was a block buster, Bala Krishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Thalapathi Vijay’s Vaarasudu were super hits.
